Even now...

Even now I can smell the clothes
Freshly from the wash
Still hot from the dryer

Even now I can smell your skin
To wrap you in a towel
Lay you on the bed
And try to love you

Even now I can feel your arms
I can feel your breast
I can hear your songs
And I always can find you again

Even now I can feel your hand
Gently over mine
With almost no weight at all

Even now I can feel your eyes
Watch me as I strum
Much too late at night

Even now I can see you smile
I can hear you hum
I can hear you sing
And I always can find you again

Even in the dark of night
Even in the lowest light
Even as the world outside
Is spinning, and spinning

Even now I can feel your hair
Blow across my cheek
As we sit in one of two chairs

Even now I can feel your face
Resting on my chest
Wrestling for sleep
And failing at it

Even now I can see you sleep
I can see you dream
I can see you fly
And I always can find you again
And I always can find you again
And I always can find you again

Give me ten...

First things first... Yes I am copying Lisa, no I didn't steal the picture from her I took it with my own camera, and I do this all because she is way more creative than I am...

1. Water Picks
2. Affairs. Not the bad kind where you cheat on your significant other and have some secret mister/mistress but rather just everyday affairs: Work, errands, etc...
3. The snow pack
4. Water skiing
5. Surfing even though I have never done it is is something that I would like learn how to do, maybe I'll make Dr. Barton teach me.
6. Dental service projects to South America.
7. Clean sheets and the way they smell when fresh out of the dryer
8. Lisa's art projects and projects in general.
9. Spain, in particular Madrid, Bilbao, and San Sebastian
10. Late night phone calls, the ones that wake you up in the middle of the night.

It is that time again...

All the things Ive done before this
They don't mean a thing
And all the words spoken before this
Wont be said again
Suddenly so much of me has
No need 2 pretend
Cause theres nothing like the truth
To bring her back to u
And everyone Ive met before this
Ain't seen me with u

Angel Angel Angel
Angel My Angel My Angel

You're the only one who knows what I go through
Sometimes you even feel it more than me, baby
And I don't know how I ever got by without u
Theres nothing like the truth
And Ive got nothing left 2 lose
And every night I thank the universe that I found u

Angel My Angel My Angel

And I don't have 2 wonder
What the world thinks about me
I know you're in my corner
You're always surrounding me
With your love

And if we all explode
See we would never know
But I just hope the pieces of my soul
Reach out 2 u 2 find my angel

My Angel My Angel
Angel My Angel
My Angel

Hello November

So last night was Halloween and how fast and uneventful it passed. I was missing Lisa all weekend as she headed down to Las Vegas for the weekend to be with some friends of hers and I am looking forward to coming back home and wish that she was coming back tomorrow. I at least carved a pumpkin last night and I decided to not go with the traditional Jack-o-lantern but instead I carved a tooth ha ha. Well I hope that you all had a fun, safe Halloween and that you were able to get out and do some trick or treating of your own.

Be all you can be...

Farewell to our good friend Brandon Smith. Last week was his last with us here in Utah. He has been a good teammate and an even better friend. Brandon has played on our softball team for the past five or so years and has become one of my very good friends and now he is off onto his next big adventure of joining the army, continuing onto ranger school and then pursuing his goal of becoming a seal. I'm sad to see him go but respect him so much for his goal and going through with it. To send him off we had a little going away party after our softball game with those of the team that could make it. Poker, x-box, jokes, and laughs were just about enough to keep us going and pull an all-nighter but most of us crashed at about four in the morning. Well Brandon, good luck and have fun my friend. I hope that all goes well for you and I hope to see you soon.

The Canyon Breeze...

This last weekend seemed like it passed just way to fast... I was really stoked to have a long weekend, seeing that I had the day off of work on Friday, and I also don't have any class on Fridays either. Well As fast as it came, it left again. Friday I had a fun day planned out for Lisa and I but an unfortunate turn of events made Us alter our plans and not accomplish the list activities that we were both looking forward too. Saturday came and resolved not to let the same thing happen, Lisa and I got going for the day, packed up our digital cameras, our old 110 film intamatic, our old Polaroid( yes, we have both, both function great, and they are fun to play with to get that older vintage look. Think back on your child hood and think of all the great moments captured with those types of cameras...) and headed up American Fork Canyon so that she could take some pictures and experience the changing of the leaves for the first time. The weather was great, and although we missed the prime leaves by a couple of weeks, we still had a fun time, a beautiful drive, and took a lot of pictures. This first one is one that we took in a little creek that we found after passing the summit and starting our decent down into Midway. For putting the camera on self timer and having to run over to get in the picture and try and manage not to fall in the creek that we were standing in, I think that it turned out quite nice. The next picture wasn't so tricky but the tree was an awesome flaming red and orange and this picture doesn't quite do it justice. The following two I just love of Lisa because it is her in her element doing what she loves to do, I also think that they just look really cool with her facing the whole canyon. How lucky I am to have such a beautiful place in my own backyard and I am even luckier to have and even more beautiful girlfriend to go out and experience and share it all with. I hope that you all had a great weekend as well and that this week brings you the best of luck with work, school, family, or whatever is on your plate. Much love to all and remember, when life gives you lemons, paint them gold!

Goonight...

The stars lean down to kiss you
And I lie awake and miss you
Pour me a heavy dose of atmosphere
'Cause I'll doze off safe and soundly
But I'll miss your arms around me
I'd send a postcard to you dear
'Cause I wish you were here

I'll watch the night turn light blue
But it's not the same without you
Because it takes two to whisper quietly
The silence isn't so bad
Till I look at my hands and feel sad
'Cause the spaces between my fingers
Are right where yours fit perfectly

I'll find repose in new ways
Though I haven't slept in two days
'Cause cold nostalgia chills me to the bone
But drenched in vanilla twilight
I'll sit on the front porch all night
Waist-deep in thought because when I think of you
I don't feel so alone

I don't feel so alone
I don't feel so alone

As many times as I blink
I'll think of you tonight
I'll think of you tonight

When violet eyes get brighter
And heavy wings grow lighter
I'll taste the sky and feel alive again
And I'll forget the world that I knew
But I swear I won't forget you
Oh, if my voice could reach back through the past
I'd whisper in your ear,
Oh darling I wish you were here

As my Birthday week comes to a close...

As my Birthday week comes to a close I have to say thank you to all of the people: friends, family, cousins, and acquaintances that wished be the best and dropped me a line. I really do appreciate it. I have to thank especially Lisa for making it such a great weekend. The picture above is us at the State fair on Saturday, it was a fun day. We started off by reminiscing, about being young by going up to Farmington and watching the little league team that my Dentist coaches play in a nostalgic Saturday morning football game. We then came home for a few and spent a little time with my parents and my little nephew Priest who kept us entertained. We than got everything together and headed over to the Salt Lake Greek festival where we met up with a few friends, and enjoyed, gyros, souvlaki, fresh feta cheese, Greek olives, and finished it all of with a box of Loukoumades. We then wasted no time and headed over to the State fair where we spent the rest of the afternoon looking at animals, soft serve ice cream ;), shops, art work, gimmicky attractions, the midway, rides, and also the shortest women in the world! We had a great time... Lisa decided that wasn't enough and topped off the evening by surprising me with fantastic unexpected birthday presents, and of coarse a fantastic sushi dinner; something that we both love. Lucky me is right, there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about it and thank Lisa for it. I have so much fun with her and she makes me so happy, it is almost unbelievable. I hope that everyone has a great week and when the time comes for you, a great birthday and that you can share it with someone that treats you as well as Lisa treats me. My Birthday Week...

Well seeing that it is my birthday Week this week I decided to assume the role of copy-cat and follow the example of Lisa and take a moment to post a few things that are on my Birthday wish list. I really don't have to many things that to put on it because as many of you know, I am not to picky and just enjoy something that is heartfelt. But I do have a few things that I would enjoy in my collection...

One being the 11mm iPhone compatible Full Metal Jacket earbuds from Skullcandy. Black or the chrome that are shown would be preferred.

The Mens Geosphere jacket by northface. Black would be the Ideal color.

The Nike + iPod Sport Kit.

Sportsuit™ Convertible for iPhone 3G/3GS.

These are a few things, and I hope that you all have a great week as well.

Sorry...

Well, it has been quite a long time since I last blogged and for that I apologize. I have been just crazy busy with work, finishing up summer school and getting started with this fall semester. Lisa and I had such a fun and amazing summer and there are so many things that I didn't even get to blog about; fairs, trips so California, Puerto Rico, Parties, and family get togethers. This is for real, one of the most fun summers that I have had and I owe a lot of that to my sidekick Lisa. The first pic on here was taken in Puerto Rico after having gone on a kayak ride out to the Biolumenecant bays in Esperanza. It was amazing! The second pic is me out in the middle of the ocean on a scuba trip! Well I would love to right more and I soon will hopefully recaping a lot of the past few months, but now I have to get to bed for tomorrow we are headed up to the Mountain man rendezvous in Fort Bridger Wyoming. Until then have a good night and great labor day weekend.

I would love to write a big long blog tonight but what more can be said?... Long sunny days snorkeling all around, warm caribbean water, and nice low lit dinner next to the ocean. All this being done with the most beautiful girl in the world by my side the whole time:)

I'm on a quest to find a cheaper way to get to the airport than the taxi, which costs nineteen bucks, so i can pick up our rental car. meanwhile lisa is back in the hotel rabbling up our stuff so we can head out asap to the third largest cave system in the world! I hope ya'll have a good day because i know that we sure will. I'll try and post some picks of our adventures today.

Well we made it safe and sound to puerto rico! First thing first, sorry if there are any typos or anything, i am doing this all via text by phone ha ha. All is going well here, lot's of latin music, lot's of humidity and lot's of fun. Today we went all around old san juan looking at old churches and historic sights... El morro, el castillo san cristobal, y muchas mas:) we stopped by a little cafe on calle fortaleza where i had my first real taste of puerto rican food, it was a dish called Mofongo, and i love it. Well the rest of the night was spent walking around and enjoying the nightlife here, and now it is off to bed. Lisa and I have an early and long day ahead of up tomorow, and we can't wait! We're going to have fun exploring this week and we hope that you have fun reading about it. Much love and good night to all.

Life is too short for mad faces in fun places...

For anyone that reads this blog or talks to me on a regular basis, one thing is clear... I very much love Lisa. We have so much fun together doing everything that we can think of under the sun. On the forth of July she woke up early, came and supported me through the early morning race, and then we spent the rest of the day at parades, fireworks, concerts, and with family. We have so much fun together.
Lisa has a collection of these little wooden figurines that she buys in Mexico and while we were in Tiajunana on our last little trip to California, she walked into her favorite store and picked up a few treasures and this was one of them. She walked out and sat on my lap with a big grin from ear to ear and unfortunately I was too much of an "imbecil"(it isn't spelled wrong, it is a Spanish word) to pay attention to the situation and voiced some frustrations instead of focusing on her and being happy. Well we got up and started walking back to the border and like the saint that she is, she just forgave me for acting how I did, looked past the situation, put back on her million dollar, and made me feel like the luckiest man in town. Well just a few days ago, which was about two weeks after our trip, I was in her room and she shows me the figurine in the above picture and says, "I bought it for us when we were in Mexico". Moral of the story, be appreciative for what you have and count your blessings for the people that you have in your life. Make the best out of the situations that you are dealt with, look on the bright side of things, and love the people that love you and never let them go. Never be mad or upset when you are feeling jealous because you never know what great surprise you are going to miss out on. Today you may be sitting in a camping chair waving a flag and kissing someone on the cheek but pretty soon you'll be the little old skeletons sitting on the bench. I know that I am going to make sure that when I am the old skeleton sitting on the bench that the red heart is well intact and that my arm is still around my favorite.

Not enough time...

So I haven't blogged for a very long time and for that I am sorry. I have been so busy this past month that I have hardly had any time to even breathe. Between work, homework, holidays, and spending well deserved time with Lisa on trips and around town; It seems that I am burning the candle at both ends... But it is so worth it. I have so many things that I want to blog about so hopefully I will be able to get them done this week. Until then here is a picture of Lisa and I up at the Allen's annual 3rd of July celebration (yes 3rd, not 4th). We had a lot of fun 4-wheeling playing catch, BBQing and passing time with good company.

LUCKYU... LUCKYME

Lately has been filled with a lot of stresses: Work, School, the weather... just a lot of things. But there is one thing that I have to look forward to each and every day, and no matter how stressful the day has been or how frustrated I am with shcool, it will always calm me down and put me in a good mood... I like to call this little miracle pill Lisa. The title says it all and I will reinforce that... I am stoked that she has finally finished her TEFL coarses for afew reasons: one being so that we can actually hang out on the weekends now and follow through with a bunch of the plans that we have made, and two becuase it is something that she really wanted to do and was looking forward to doing.

Another week or work is coming and there is always homework galore, I am looking forward to another fun weekend as is always had with the favorite.

Live life to its fullest, have fun while doing it, cherish and appreciate the people and relationships that you around you, and most important... When Live gives you lemons, Paint them Gold.

The way I am...

If you were falling, then I would catch you.
You need a light, I'd find a match.

Cause I love the way you say good morning.
And you take me the way I am.

If you are chilly, here take my sweater.
Your head is aching, I'll make it better.

Cause I love the way you call me baby.
And you take me the way I am.

I'd buy you Rogaine when you start losing all your hair.
Sew on patches to all you tear.

Cause I love you more than I could ever promise.
And you take me the way I am.

Zion...

Just a few pictures from this last weekend that Lisa and I spent down in the southern part of Utah. Swimming, hiking, talking, laughing, and enjoying the sunshine and good company. Weekends come and go so fast and it just proves the old saying "Time flies when you're having fun" I look forward to the next activity, trip, or place that we are going to visit and always have fun planning them and executing them with flawless precision. Well all is well from this end of the ranch, I hope all is well.

Baseball

Priest in his Tee ball game.

It looks straight out of "Field of Dreams" or something...

Lisa and I enjoying a nice evening and a Bees game.

Lately I have been enjoying one of my favorite activities which is watching baseball. (since I play the sport no more) I love to go out and relax in the nice evening air and spit seeds, chop on some double bubble and down a ball park dog. I'm excited to have a summer filled with games and fun.

And so it ends...

Good times had and good memories made. The end of the school year brings sadness and joy. Freshly vacumed carpet and dusted down walls can only mean one thing... End of the semester. I had a lot of time to live in my little slice of Cedar City and just like that, in one day it as if I was never there at all. As someone new fills my space, I would like to think that the walls, floor, and ceiling of my little room will never forget the times that we shared and the fun that we had. Hours of studying, sleeping, talking on the phone and our weekend getaways were spent in this little space and will surely be missed.

And so it begins...

Last weekend was spent doing one of the things that I love most... playing softball. My team, the Juggernauts, played in a tournament up in Clearfield Utah. The outcome of the tournament wasn't that of which we had hoped but none the less we had a great time and got some games under our belt to prepare us for the upcoming season. I'm really excited for this summer season. Summer and baseball go hand in hand and now that I am a past the baseball stage of my life I now spend quite as much time as I can playing softball. I love to play along side of my brother Elliot had have fun while doing it.

Art, Travel, Fortunes, and Family...

A long time without blogging means lots of pictures to add and even more info to update.
Between the hustle and bustle of school and work I have found myself traveling to and from Salt Lake almost every weekend to see friends and family and to try and get things set up and ready for the coming summer. Lately I have been finding myself getting more and more anxious for the summer time to come. With many activities awaiting me: Softball, biking, running, swimming, triathlons. There are also various traveling adventures that are loaded in the chamber and "listo para tirar". My beautiful girlfriend Lisa took the first picture of me on the bike one while we were having a little getaway weekend in St. George. The following three pictures were some fortunes that I got from the local Panda Express here in Cedar City. I always keep the good ones and these are three of the best that I have come across. The timing couldn't have worked out any better with the fortune about traveling seeing that Lisa and I have been talking about and planning a trip to visit Puerto Rico this summer. Many think that fortune cookies are not legit but this just proves them wrong. As I have talked about in previous blogs I love to cycle and am looking forward to spending many hours and traveling many miles with my brother Cam this summer. We were in St. George this last weekend and were able to kick off the season with a nice little ride up through Ivens and the Snow Canyon area. The next few pictures are from the annual Steadman Family brunch at Little America. I love to spend time with family especially when there is lots of good food involved.

Live, Love, Laugh. A good motto to follow and live by. Being able to take a step back and analyze the past few months of my life have made me realize just how lucky I am. Now looking to the future with many hopes and dreams makes each a day a new exciting chance to embark on a new journey and learn something new. As I like to leave you with a little quote this is one that I found that I think is very well suited for this last blog post... "Our truest life is when we are in our dreams awake". -Henry David Thoreau

San Carlos...

Hospitals and surgery rooms. Crazy things happen in Mexican hospitals one of which is letting american pre-dental, and pre-med students into the operating room to hang out, observe, and sometimes even assist in the sugeries. This is Nick and I just agter walking in the OR and getting scrubbed up.

Javier was one of the little kids that we saw at the orphanage. It is funny to see how much all of these little kids love to see their tall friends from America and how much they love to play with the cameras and have their pictures taken. It is a humbling experience to be go to these places and spend some time with little kids that can have a day of fun with nothing more than a few gringos that don't speak their language, a camera, and a set of monkey bars

She sells sea shells down by the sea shore. Nick and I took a nice afternoon walk on the beach and came across these awesome shells that had these bright pink stripes on them. I decided to set them up as so and see if I could have a little artistic flare come out, and I am glad to say that I think I pulled it off.

Jordan, Me, Nick, Noe, Brandon, and Eric. Great friendships made and fun days spent basking in the sun and absorbing in the Mexican culture. Us sitting over the harbor, in Guaymas after going to "el mercado" in the city.

Bliss
San Carlos was amazing. Everything from the experience we had, to the friends that we made and the time that was just enjoying beautiful sunsets like this.

Our last night on be beach
